Legislation in the form of the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Directive (IPPC) has sharpened this focus further to present industry with some vigorous challenges, particularly over the next five years.
With water bills set to rise by up to 30%, companies will need to consider how efficiently such resources are being used and move towards greater environmental sustainability.
The Aqua-Save solution is to treat, recover and reuse waste water within the user's own premises, thereby removing the high cost and inconvenience of off-site disposal, as well as the added benefits of recycling the water back into industrial processes.
The only effluent resulting from the Aqua-Save is a concentrated oily waste that typically represents less than 5% of the original volume.
The introduction of the Aqua-Save Junior brings the benefits of this technology to users whose processes create relatively small amounts of waste water. The Junior can process up to 15 litres of waste water per hour whilst its larger counterpart can produce up to 50 litres over the same period. Whilst this meets an ever growing number of industrial applications - particularly given the mobility of the Aqua-Save system - the concept has also recently found larger scale aplications in the treatment and recycling of waste solutions that include machine coolants, floor cleaning machine waste and rinse waters from other industrial processes.
